Nothing disrupts a performance faster than unreliable electronics. Scratchy knobs, weak pickups, or signal loss are often caused by worn components or simple wiring issues. Our electronics services include:

  • Cleaning or replacing volume and tone controls

  • Diagnosing weak or uneven pickup output

  • Correcting grounding and wiring problems

  • Installing and testing upgraded components

All electronic work is clean, precise, and backed by a full workmanship warranty.

FRETWORK

At El Segundo Guitars, we view fretwork as an art form that requires extreme patience and precision. While many modern shops rely on automated "Plek" machines, we believe that a skilled technician understands you and your instrument better than a robot ever could.
All fretwork is performed by hand to achieve:

  • Smooth fret ends

  • Consistent leveling

  • Improved intonation

  • Comfortable playability

We take the time to do it right because we know that high-quality fretwork is the most important factor in how your instrument feels and performs.

04

BONEWORK

If you want to truly transform the resonance and sustain of your instrument, upgrading to hand-crafted bone is the best place to start. Most factory instruments come with generic plastic parts, but we believe your music deserves more than "standard".

We custom-carve every nut and saddle from high-quality bone, tailoring them specifically to your instrument's unique geometry. It is one of our favorite upgrades to perform because we know you will be absolutely blown away by the clarity and "punch" of your new sound.

05

ACOUSTIC GUITAR

Acoustic guitars are often the instruments closest to a musician's heart, but their delicate nature requires a specialized touch. We treat your acoustic with the same reverence you do, whether it needs "major surgery" like stabilizing internal braces or a precision fix for a lifting bridge.

We love all brands and enjoy helping you find the perfect string gauge and setup to make your guitar play fast while sounding full and resonant.

Our goal is to ensure your favorite acoustic stays in your hands—and out of the repair shop—for years to come.

Frequently Asked Questions.

Do you provide repair estimates?

Absolutely. We believe in transparency, which is why we offer Free Estimates after a physical evaluation of your instrument. This ensures you fully understand the necessary scope of work and the exact cost before we ever strike a tool to your gear.

How long will my repair take?

Our goal is to provide the best turnaround times in the Mid-South. While we work efficiently across multiple professional benches, timing depends on the specific repair type and is discussed in detail at drop-off. We never sacrifice quality for speed—if an instrument requires "major surgery," such as structural glue work, we ensure it has the proper time to cure and recover correctly.

Do you work on instruments other than guitars?

Yes, we do. While guitars are our specialty, we are a full-service shop providing expert care for Banjos, Violins, and various other stringed instruments.

Is your work guaranteed?

We take immense pride in being Certified Guitar Repair Technicians. We stand firmly behind our craftsmanship and will promptly address any workmanship-related concerns to ensure you are 100% satisfied with how your instrument plays.

Do I need an appointment to drop off my instrument?

No appointment is necessary! You are welcome to visit our Bartlett, TN shop Tuesday through Saturday between 10:00 A.M. and 6:00 P.M. Feel free to come in, relax in our lobby, and talk shop with us while we evaluate your instrument.
