FRETWORK
Manual Precision
We believe fretwork is a manual art that no machine can replicate. While many shops rely on automated Plek machines, we perform all fretwork by hand to achieve:

-
Smooth, comfortable fret ends
-
Consistent leveling across the fretboard
-
Improved intonation
-
Effortless playability
High-quality fretwork is one of the most important factors in how your guitar feels—and we take the time to do it right.
Standard plastic nuts and saddles are the most common "tone killers."
We hand-shape high-density bone replacements specifically for your instrument’s bridge and headstock.
This upgrade dramatically increases harmonic sustain, improves tuning stability, and clarifies your overall acoustic "voice."

05

-
Structural brace repairs
-
Bridge lifting and reglue work
-
Neck and setup optimization
-
Crack stabilization and playability corrections
We help Germantown guitarists keep their prized acoustics in peak playing condition for a lifetime.

Frequently Asked Questions.

How do I know if my guitar needs a setup?
If your guitar buzzes, has high or uneven action, or struggles with tuning, it may need a setup. Our professional adjustments make your guitar play smoothly and respond consistently.
Can you work on vintage or high-end guitars?
Yes. We handle vintage and boutique instruments carefully to preserve their playability and value while making necessary repairs or upgrades.
How often should I have my guitar serviced?
Most players benefit from a setup once or twice a year. Changes in strings, playing style, or seasonal humidity in Germantown can affect your guitar’s performance over time.
Do you offer custom setups for specific tunings or styles?
Absolutely. Whether you play in standard, alternate, or open tunings, we adjust action, relief, and intonation to suit your style and strings.
Do I need an appointment to drop off my guitar?
No appointment is required. Germantown musicians can visit our shop Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 A.M.–6:00 P.M., for evaluation and service.
